Our Role as an RICS Expert Witness

When appointed as an Expert Witness, our overriding duty is always to the Court, not to the party instructing us. We ensure full compliance with Part 35 of the Civil Procedure Rules 1998 (CPR35) and its associated Practice Direction (PD35).

Single Joint Expert (SJE) and Partly Appointed Expert (PAE)

  • Partly Appointed Expert (PAE): acting for one party, while still maintaining an overriding duty to the Court.

In both roles, we provide clear, well-structured reports and, where required, attend Court to give oral evidence.
